What to Expect

Most of the ski slopes in Appi Kogen Ski Resort are long-distance slides, which are quite rare in Japan. They are comparable to well-known ski resorts in Europe and the United States. It is one of the attractive features of Appi Kogen Ski Resort. Appi Kogen Ski Resort (APPI) is located in Iwate Prefecture, northeast of Honshu Island, Japan. It is called "aspirin fine white snow" because of its low snow quality and water content. The snow season does not end until early May. The ski area consists of four ski areas: Central Ski Area, CentralSlopes, Sisen Ski Area, NishimoriSlopes, Sailer Ski Area and Second Ski Area. The average distance of the 21 ski runs is 2.1 kilometers, and the longer one is 5.5 kilometers. Appi Kogen Ski Resort provides simplified Chinese ski trail maps for Chinese skiers, and there are special service staff from China to receive them.
