What to Expect
The vast Kujukushima Zoological and Botanical Garden is home to around 400 animals of 80 species, including Indian elephants, lions, bears, and red pandas, as well as around 21,000 species of subtropical plants of 1,200 species, including roses and seasonal flowers. The "New Penguin Pavilion" has many other attractions, including the largest ceiling tank in Japan (80 square meters) and a tank four meters deep, as well as Japan's first very shallow tank, where you can view the penguins' feet.
