What to Expect
The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo was founded in 1952 with the purpose of introducing Eastern and Western modern art. Works, and often hold various art exhibitions. The museum houses about 9,000 works of art including paintings, sculptures, watercolors, drawings, prints, and photographs from the early 20th century to the present day. In order to present an overview of modern Japanese art as a whole, about 250 works are selected from these collections and displayed in the collection exhibition halls on the 4th to 2nd floors. At the same time, part of the collection exhibition hall is also used to conduct album exhibitions of collections around a theme each time.
